On the BBC news this evening about coastal erosion in the usual places in the UK saying it was due to rising sea levels, implying typically it was due to climate change. No, this coastal erosion has been occurring for forever in these areas. Still the bbc obsession with climate change continues.

^Agreed.

Save you looking, Mr Fatticus said,
'Yeah, let’s ignore all that evidence and scientific data, it’s obviously worthless.'
amidst all the smiping

we are agreed that the erosion has accelerated
and can't agree on the contributon if any of sea rising or global warming
I thought being an old retired man that all the botching and back biting was directed at me - -
and clearly it isnt
everyone gets a go - - in kinda rotation
Turned BBC4 on last week to watch Neil Oliver, caught the end of some 'science' programme.
Cue spooky music over film of melting snow/ice. Tremulous voiceover 'The Arctic ice recedes every summer'
'You don't say' I thought as I scrambled around for something to chuck at the telly.
All their regular viewers said 'oo-er'
Neil Oliver is a historian - they cant count for chrissakes
Correct Dave. This is some misreporting by the BBC. I leave near the Norfolk coast and erosion has happened slowly forever.
//What puzzles me is why you think that the BBC is obsessed with climate change. Why would they be? //

I find it difficult to believe that anyone is puzzled by the BBC's obsession. Climate Change is all the rage everywhere now - and the BBC is nothing if not 'current'.
Yes, it has William, but I agree with Lankeela. It is eroding faster now. The scientists and the residents are correct.
Dismiss any information that tends to contradict what you've already made your mind up about. That would be my advice.
