Seems like a good time to ask the famous 10 again, there are many others but these'll do for starters. PS none of these have ever been attempted let alone answered, which is odd because they are very pertinent for a Country proposing to leave the UK.
1) How will you replace the funding you get from England?
2) Are you happy to continue using the pound but have no control of it?
3) How will you service your part of the national debt?
4) How will you stop the inevitable exodus to England once the decision has been made?
5) Will you continue to offer free prescriptions, university etc ?
6) …if so how far are you prepared to raise taxes for those that remain?
7) How will you attract investment to, what will have to be a high taxation area?
8) How will you replace and fund the parts of the UK infrastructure that you now take for granted? Eg military, police, public transport?
9) are you prepared to adopt the EURO as a condition of joining the EUSSR?
10) Are you prepared to construct a border as a condition of joining the EUSSR?

The SNP have never addressed any of the above perhaps our resident "independence" supporters would like to have a go.

It is down in the East End of Glasgow,3T.
Same old, same old. Change the record.

maggie, why not have a go at the questions? Surely as an indee you must have asked yourself these very pertinent questions? Or is it just blind hatred of England that wins and *** any common sense?
TTT - Sturgeon claims changed circumstances since the original referendum are reason to hold another one.
Boris claims that changed circumstances have permitted him to break election promises eg, National Insurance/Triple lock for pensioners.
You accept one argument but not the other.

"livebreatScotland" - perlease! That's not going to be too biased is it? PMSL!
I ask yet again, why does the UK government not just allow the referendum?

They'll not be paying for it and if it goes in favour of independence, ynnafymmi can stop feeling sorry for the "English taxpayers" who subsidize her.
bhg, your language is carefully chosen - but that aside I accept that changed circumstances change things.
Do the answers matter to you ttt....surely it'd for Scotland to decide. Its up to nicola to make her case to them. If it goes through like o guess it will I fear there'll be lots of demands for transitional funding
Question Author
bhg: "TTT - Sturgeon claims changed circumstances since the original referendum are reason to hold another one." - what has changed has change for the UK not Scotland alone. What circumstances is she talking about that mean a once in a generation vote needs to be held again?
"Boris claims that changed circumstances have permitted him to break election promises eg, National Insurance/Triple lock for pensioners.
You accept one argument but not the other. " - yes the PM should react to circumstances of course but that is not analogous to wanting to leave the UK only 9 years after the people voted not to. She's a fan of the EUSSR so she's emulating their "neverendum" approach.
TTT why don't you just read it?? We are subjected to your Trivial Tory Tripe on a daily basis and expected to read it. PMSL

bobinwales: "Do the answers matter to you ttt....surely it'd for Scotland to decide. Its up to nicola to make her case to them. If it goes through like o guess it will I fear there'll be lots of demands for transitional funding " - yes I'd like to know their thinking and I'd like to think it's something that they have thought through rather than simply having been led by their seething hatred of the English. Decisions made in anger and hatred are usually wrong. I have Scottish friends and connections, I am concerned they are being led into penury and subjugation by a hard line nationalist.

maggie: "TTT why don't you just read it?? We are subjected to your Trivial Tory Tripe on a daily basis and expected to read it. PMSL " - I read it, it's not a complete analysis, it's spun to death and omits lots of important points. It's like if you asked an Arsenal supporter which is the best team. No credibility at all. I could equally dig up a similarly partisan article.
TTT, so what? Scotland voted remain within the uk. At that time we were a member of the EU but, against the wishes of Scotland as a whole, have since left. I wouldn’t fight to tie them to us just as I didn’t fight to keep us tied to the EU. Let them have their referendum.

gawd she's on the roger now: "Independence would enable us to chart our own course....." - By going on Bended knee to the EUSSR? If you think there's problems in NI wait and see what happens if Scotland joins, they'll have to build a hard border for a start.
Same old, same old. Change the record.

foo - I agree wiv dat ! - havent we had a thread exactly with the same title and tired conts from the usual suspects before?

and now for something different

but that aside I accept that changed circumstances change things. - - - hallelujah!

when the facts change I change my mind. What do you do? John M Keynes 1920 ish
Up here in Scotland the SNP voters were the Brexiteers,Naomi. Now they are coming out with this rubbish that they were pulled out of the EU against their wishes.Fat chance.SNP=The Scottish Brexiteer Party.
gawd she's on the roger now: .." - By going on Bended knee to the EUSSR

god the juvenile dialogue on "Stranger things" ( recommended) is better than this.
I too would be interested in the answers if only to ensure I'm not paying in the future, not one penny.

I do wonder how the Maths would stack up now, even last time it was not clear and thats with oil and now St Nicola wont allow expansion of oil fields so it makes the equation even more difficult.

Surely some of the Scottish Nats on here have some suggestions to the questions?
The oirish ( border/no border: border, dat boring dat etc) are going through a similar cycle of thrutching
