Yes but i think they may claim that over the years they put more than there fare share into the kitty due to this oil so they want to take something back as part of the divorce settlement.

I think the point is that insufficient tax will be being collected in Scotland to be able to fund the present freebees.

As for NS oil, beware certain islands opting to be independent from Scotland. Surely it's likely to be designated mostly theirs were that to occur, wouldn't it ? They may decide the two can play at that game.
