Lol, he’s even more deluded than Naomi, ToraToraTora, youngmafbog, bednobs and Deskdiary, one of whom will be along shortly, quickly followed by one of the others, posting in very similar language to the arch-admirer, ToraToraTora.
No doubt all the same acronyms too. Lol at the TROBers, Tories Right On Brexit me old china.
Not a dry eye in the house. PMSL.
Tbf, he didn’t specify a date.
It’ll be 1st of April, right?
He’ll already be onto the next floozy by then(Dorries), Carrie will have already flown the nest or caught him out as they all invariably have.
Hasta la vista.
There’s the arrogance again.
148 of his own MPs told him they had no confidence in his leadership.
The 1922 Committee assessed he was now a liability and the party would do better if rid of him.
But Boris thinks everyone is wrong and they will soon be begging him to return.
All very Trumpian.
My previous posts on BJ make it clear I wasn’t an admirer, and I’m certain I’ve never (although happy to be proved wrong) used the acronyms you mentioned, or any others for that matter.
"New York-born Boris is lining himself up for up the next POTUS. "
I think he renounced his US citizenship just before he became PM...
It won't be next year but he will try for the leadership again... and probably get it... whether or not the tories are still in power when that happens is harder to say!
I am not one to make sweeping predictions about the future, but there is no way on earth (or whatever planet BJ is on) that he will ever lead the Tory party again. Assuming the Tory party remains a credible force in politics, and given we have a two-party system that seems assured.
People forget that Johnson was very unpopular with MPs before the Brexit crisis. They put him forward for the leadership out of desperation and he delivered in a very specific set of circumstances.
Which will not thank God, be repeated.
I think his popularity will recover in a few years ich... and if the party does lose or do badly again they will be desperate again...
I think the thing that got him into the leadership was celebrity... "star power" as his fans call it... he's lost that now but he has all the assets he needs to get it back.
Remember even before brexit everybody knew he was going to end up as top Tory some day... brexit was the means he used to engineer it but it was not what made him... i don't think so anyway.
