Yes, or the opposite of the opposite, or ...
Fact is, the Russians (and others) are likely to have more dirt on Sunak than they do on Truss, simply because of the nature of his, his wife's and his in-laws' business dealings. You don't get to build and handle that much money without running into some dirt somewhere, for example paying the unavoidable bribes to get shipments or people from A to B safely in some areas. It would be very easy to use such apparently dodgy dealings against Sunak when the time is right - maybe even before the final vote!

Any “dirt” Russia might have on anyone has long since lost its impact, ever since their mask came off several months ago
And I’d include Trump in that.
It would be like someone drowning in a slurry tank telling a passerby they had dogshit on their shoe
They are the moral custodians of precisely nothing

Ich, I don't think the fact that Russia is morally bankrupt stops them being able to use dirt against people who still have a reputation to maintain. Often, we don't even know the real source of information.
We've already seen how the slightest thing, like "Your wife has non-dom status", can throw a spanner in the works ...

I’m sure the Russians have all they need in regards to handling her at a later date.

The only lever the Russians ever have over anyone is that that person has been mixed up (usually unwittingly) in their own dirty money: Trump is a classic example.
I may be wrong, but I don't see Sunak or Truss falling in that category. And even then, who'd believe them. Most people seem not to believe the stuff about Trump, and even then it doesn't appear to have done him much harm

The idea that the Russians are some sort of financial ethics police waititng to strike is laughable.
Fatticus's example illustrates my point: all they can do is embarrass by association, which if you think about it isn't really all that effective (I don't thik
Like I say, it hasn't done the Trump or the Tories any harm so far.
