I've heard of many unscrupulous landlord stories and can imagine this issue could be wide-spread. Who can tenants approach if they believe this is happening when the time comes?

Zac yes I would sell, being a landlord is more trouble than its worth.
roadman - go check out property prices in the North of England, go check out repayments on a £70k home over 35 years -yes you can buy terrace houses in the North of England for £75K
Ignorance is bliss as they say.
i presume in the case of a landlord who has 1 supply then re-sells to tenants (as in on caravan sites) they will only get one lot of oney from the govt, so why should they give each tenant it back?
Just for you roadman 'laughs out loud' as usual

"go check out repayments on a £70k home over 35 years"

*Titterfarkle* so instead of a 60k property like i said it would have to be it is a 70k property so really what you are saying is lol you are right road man there are so many variables i am talking out of my arris
lets copy and paste what i said haha yes laughs out loud as usual

this is a load of crap unless their house is worth about 60k lol

shall i quote the "about 60k" and relatively 70k is very close to 60k thank you when talking property
Ignorance is bliss as they say

yes so is sheer delusion
how old do you have to be to get a 35 year mortgage in this day and age
roadman, I don't know where you get that attitude from -delusional-good grief in your little world do people not have houses they rent out? These days mortgages are given up to the age of seventy, so you do the math on how old you must be to benefit from a 35-year mortgage.
