As Winter Approaches And Energy Bills Go Through The Roof, Will Their Be More Of A Desire To Negotiate With Russia Over Ukraine?
I think the public's enthusiasm for standing up to putin will wain when it comes to energy bills, most will want peace in the hope prices will come down, whatever the political cost. Keeping warm or supporting Ukraine, it will be a no brainer I'm afraid.

There is no one running the country at the moment and Boris has gone off on another honeymoon.
There was significant civil unrest at the time of the 'poll tax' imposition and some of the riots were scary. This could be similar, but potentially worse. Blaming the Tories is just stupid. Energy price hikes were not caused by them. Where many of us can agree, however, is the government could and should do more and that remains to be seen. Gulliver, silly mantras like 'the Tories only care about the rich' are just schoolboy. There's a highly complex situation to be resolved and this government has already done quite a lot. Of course, more needs to be done but, while the price cap is one aspect of the problem, energy prices can't be foretold from now until the end of the year. So let's skip these infantile 'left, right' responses and I am very sorry you don't feel the PM is entitled to a brief honeymoon. Paucity of soul yet again and, as any adult should know, the government (such as it is) continues to function and the PM is on the phone.
I thought I’d go through and pick out the bits of the Corbyn interview I agree with:
Few would argue with:
“ This war is disastrous for the people of Ukraine, for the people of Russia, and for the safety and security of the whole world”
The trouble is his hopeless blend of idealism and bigotry lead him down a blind alley and he gets bogged down in meaningless stuff about “peace” (yes who doesn’t want that) the UN and other works bodies who I’m absolutely sure are equally hopeless

I agree that some elements of society will not think any further than rising prices and shortages and not think of the larger picture.
Sorry, but it is hard to underestimate the ignorance of some sections of society. e.g. I remember once remarking to a supermarket cashier that Keir Starmer had caught covid again and she didn't know who he was. When I explained, she brightened-up and said chirpily that she always voted Labour.
This is the point where you need a good, committed communicator as P.M. to hold things steady. I'm not sure that we'll have one.

It’s natural that a lot of people will think as Dave does and no doubt the Kremlin bots and trolls on social media will do everything they can to perpetuate and strengthen the myth that it’s “support Ukraine or freeze” and even that sanctions are directly causing the cost of living to go up.
It’s also natural that people lose interest.
However I don’t see those things being a telling factor
