//Don't get this Leftie envy rubbish. If a friend, or Tory donor, is happy to pay for new wallpaper or a tree house can't really see the problem. If I happened to have a very rich friend who knew my kids I don't think he should be censured if he wants to pay for a tree house. The Blairs, of course, got the taxpayer to stump up for redecoration at Number 10. Is that better?//
Lol, you sound like…..well, we all know who.
So because we can see when public and private money is being squandered or toadied for it makes us Lefties?
Must be lots in the Tory party too, many were vocal and miffed about him using Chequers for his wedding party.
I agree that public money can be used for a refurbishment like the Blair’s did if it’s within reason.
Getting others to pay for lavish £840 a roll wallpaper might look a bit suspect if those people are subsequently granted peerages etc, not dissimilar to Crudass.
For someone who thought £250,000 a year for a second job was ‘chickenfeed’ he doesn’t half do a lot of toadying for fiscal favours.
But I suppose when you’ve got 7 sprogs by several mothers it can be a bit heavy with the CSA or whatever they’re called now?
As I said he’s just milking every last drop and is no doubt holidaying in a hideaway at someone else’s vast expense that will shortly get a knighthood or similar, hence the secrecy.
It’ll all come out in the wash.
