We are, after all talking about a frail lady in her 90’s who has been the bedrock of this country for 7 decades, showing unwavering dedication to duty few could comprehend.
Whilst not wishing the inevitable, I hope it’s swift and as painless as possible so that she can join her late husband, she’s declined rapidly since his passing.
Wishing her the very best outcome, whatever occurs.

It's weirdly emotional. I don't really know whether I consider myself a royalist or a republican, but she's been my Head of State for my entire life, and as long as I've paid attention I've admired her, and her devotion to duty.
