If, as I suspect might well occur, the Tory Party at conference is asked to sing the national anthem it is not unreasonable to suppose that most of those singing will actually mean it. The Labour Party today, trying in a somewhat unpleasant way to capitalise on the queen's death, was a political stunt and I think most people will see through it. Amazing to me at least that any of them could even manage to mouth the words to an anthem most of them have never once before sung.
Labour has never been anti monarchy.
Labour Prime Ministers and the Queen have always got along fine. Unlike Thatcher and Boris.
SKS and the cynical Labour policy machine are just jumping on bandwagon. Being respectful of her majesty and the Royal succession, is in at the moment.
21st century Tory Governments have always been disrespectful and antagonistic to the sovereign. Labour are trying to be different, and sucking up to our looney lefty green King :-)
