Looks like the 'Far Right' will become the largest Party later today and cobble together a coalition. Goodness only knows what the repercussions might be. If their campaign rhetoric turns out to be enacted then, as an EU member state, there are stormy waters ahead.

Ursula van der Crazy said they'd better toe the EU line cos we have ways of making you. Ask Poland and Hungary.
Democracy's great, isn't it.

Spicy: You're right. Italy's skint. But it is a worrisome that, for example, they want to blockade the northern African coast to stop immigrants. Hopefully it's just another load of BS, like Trump and his wall that never happened and the Mexicans were going to pay for...
Thanks to their ridiculous constitution and electoral arrangements, the average life expectancy of an Italian government is a little over twelve months. So I wouldn't worry too much. This time next year there will be a different one.
Did you think I was praising the EU?
Countries should be able to decide who they let in and who they keep out. Crazy, old fashioned idea, I know, but anything else is ridiculous, imo.
People in Italy probably looking aghast at our far Right government
The judge is correct, If you want to see why PR is a disaster, Italy is a perfect example. They'll barely get their plates under the Cain and there'll another election. Hopefully they'll hold a Itexit referendum!
“Thanks to their ridiculous constitution and electoral arrangements, the average life expectancy of an Italian government is a little over twelve months”

Pretty much NJ. 70 in 77 years I believe.
Sounds as though Moloney (sp) has changed her tune on a number of issues - like Le Pen. Don’t say the “F” word in her presence. She’ll probably, if elected, soon find herself out of her depth and then we’ll be on to no 71 or 72
PR isn’t the main reason for Italy’s political instability
She is now pro Europe and pro Euro.
A reverse Liz Truss as someone said :-)
Italy have never been big batters in the EU because their economy has always been in tatters.
And they have a long history of electing terrible Governments.
I would laugh at them loudly, but I fear the UK is getting less influential, and going down the same route.
....and you think Labour will help that? Right oh!
TTT,
Labour have never flushed their reigning PM down the toilet like the Tories have done (4 times) PMSL.
When Conservatives lose faith in their leadership, what are the rest of us supposed to think?
Yes, the country would be much better now with Labour in charge. It couldn’t be much worse that our current economic woes.

gromit: "It couldn’t be much worse that our current economic woes. " - It's almost as if there have been some crises in the last few years. You think labour would have done better with that? Or, do you think starting from here, now, they'd be better?
Blair had Brown wouldn’t have been so shiiite with the Pandemic. They would have been harder with Russia, and would have avoided the current economic car crash.
Because they were much better that the current amateurs.
And I am not fan of Blair and Brown.
Sweden ... yes Sweden recently elected a right of centre administration. It happens everywhere when the left wing becomes full of "itself." Itself has a distinct odour if you are curious as to what it is. More worrying than either of thos events is the sketchy "news" that there is a military coup taking place in China and that Jnping is under "house arrest". Sorry to divert somewhat Paingtonian.
This is indeed worrying Togo. I means that China is in danger of being run by some kind of dictator and a bunch of his cronies.

Oh, hang on..
gromit: "They would have been harder with Russia, and would have avoided the current economic car crash. " - how?
Even if you think Tory Lite would have done better that's a quantum leap from Rodders and real Labour.
