I don't understand why it has not been announced officially - trying to organise an event for next year and don't want to clash with the coronation - people need to know well in advance to book venues and accommodation etc. Also confirmation whether it will be a Bank Holiday or not.
How they choose to exercise the veto is beside the point: it shouldn't have been given. The death of the head of state is a state affair, not a private one.
yes, I'm talking about the next coronation, naomi, and wondering if they will be demanding the same veto over use of the recordings as they seem to have acquired over the funeral broadcasts. The media - BBC, ITV and all the rest - shouldn't be obliged to spend fortunes on broadcasting and then to hand over their rights to the results.
The Helston Floral Dance? Not been to that but we did go next door to St. Keverne one year for the Ox-Roast Festival. My daughter played in the St. Keverne brass band. Happy days!
I don't think they're as lucky as us Brits. I've seen parades etc in several European countries and they're distinctly sloppy compared to the ones we put on.
