I know it’s political noise that SKS is calling for a GE, but purely for the sake of the argument, let’s say it happened and Labour triumphed. Why the hell would SKS wish to be PM at the moment with all the crap the World economy is going through at the moment? We know Labour are dreadful with the economy (and granted it’s not in great shape due to recent events - not...

// yes it's sad that she wasn't given a fair crack but sadly she made several catastrophic errors in the few weeks she was in and became untenable.//
Indeed. The first mistake was assembling a Cabinet of all the loyalists, rather than of all the talents; the second was not calling a GE; the third was in massively overestimating the strength of her mandate within the people who mattered, namely her own MPs.
A total failure as PM. It's sad to watch, because the country suffers as a result of this fiasco; but I have little sympathy for her personally. It’s all too late. Mortgages hiked, economy tanked, deeper cuts and austerity on the way.
The electorate and wage-suppressed have had a bellyful and are restless, it won’t wash.
A dire winter and industrial action imminent, the whole situation is unsalvagable for a Tory government, only a new one will do.
