Treble hindsights and I told you so s all round.

All part if a cunning plan. :-)
Untitled 21.11 - I have to agree with you all the way on this one. Boris is only interested in what Boris wants. No ifs, no buts, no maybes. Just Boris.

//Fatticusinch, and there you were just a few hours ago saying he had far more support than he was letting on. You are funny, you really are. :o))))//

Wrong again. There were 57 who’d gone public. I said that there were undoubtedly a few more, it’s just that they weren’t bold enough to make their convictions public for fear of the backlash from the public.
You’d do well to note how foolish and stupid some have shown themselves to be, JRM, Zahawi and others.
You really must pay attention, you’re all-consuming admiration of the most odious person in politics is a reflection on…..well, you’ve made it obvious.
Have you got your Rishi flag ready to run up the pole? The butler is probably ironing it as we speak, eh?
Do you still want that picture of me? I’ll even autograph it if you like? PMSL
Seriously, anyone that thought a second BJ premiership would be good for either the country or the Conservative party is honestly deluded.

Whatever happens over the next few years may be bad, but it won't be as bad as what it would have been.
i did think he would find 100 MPS. I am surprised that he didn't!
Those mps saw him slyly looking out of the recycle bin Untitled
I think it's a blow for Labour. With Bojo the Clown as PM, Labour would probably have gained a majority at the next election without needing Scotland, but now we're headed for a hung parliament.
I think Labour would rather someone less competent than either Boris or Rishi got the job. Boris is out of the running but Rishi is a seasoned politician and has a good chance of bringing stability to the government - something that Labour won’t like at all.
I thought he would (stand down) ....

But you’re forever telling us Rishi is a self-serving slimeball who stabbed Boris in the back?
Won’t the Johnson backers feel the same?
He’ll unite nothing, surely, certainly not the parliamentary party and definitely not the Conservative Party?
Or have you flip-flopped already?
//He’ll unite nothing, surely, certainly not the parliamentary party and definitely not the Conservative Party?//

That's just your wet dream Fatti. If Rishi gets it and picks a cabinet based on ability not factionalism then the party will have enough sense to unite behind him.
some factions have more ability in their ranks than others davebro!
Mordant is still in, what if the Boris supporters, now he's placed himself out, switch to her this morning, & she gets over the hundred. It will then be a 2 horse race then go to the Tory membership & she could win.
Fatticusinch, I can't recall ever using the term 'slimeball', but no flip-flopping here. Yes, I do think Rishi is slimy and self-serving and I do think he stabbed Boris in the back, but I can't speak for other people. I've no idea what they think about it.

//He’ll unite nothing, surely, certainly not the parliamentary party and definitely not the Conservative Party?//

I've given my opinion on that.
Khandro, I hope she doesn't.

"I think Labour would rather someone less competent than either Boris "
That would be a tough ask :-)
I support Labour but I also support Sunak because this madness has to stop.
Could still be Mordaunt if course. She could have a run of backers. I note she has been saying nice things about Boris Johnson this morning :-)
If I was Graham Brady I'd be hoping that they don't need a members vote. If members voted contrary to the party that would be hugely damaging, regardless of whether it was for Sunak or Mordaunt.
Tiresome reference to skin colour again.

Hmmm, strange that Johnson didn’t go for it with the Party members despite(as his backers claimed) him supposedly having over the 100 required.
He/they wouldn’t have lied about they, would they?
Fatticusinch, //Can’t wait to see how many Party members resign their memberships this week when the ethnic fella gets anointed, they’ll be apoplectic. //

Why do you think they'll resign and be apoplectic?
