Lets Hit The Pensioners.
Richi Sunak's plan to abandon the "Triple lock" for state pensions should trigger an early General Election.
Sunak has U turned on the Conservative pledge made by Liz Truss to keep the Triple Lock .Which requires pensions to rise with inflation. This is a decision being made by the Multi Millionaire Prime Minister who struts about Downing St wearing his £3,500 suits. Will the state pensioners vote Tory this time .... No Chance.

One option being considered by the new and exciting chancellor is to lessen the burden of state benefits (previously called pensions) paid to overseas claimants. They are rumoured to be considering means testing overseas claimants. Property values, other pensions (particularly state pensions paid by other Countries) savings and investments and numbers of days spent in the UK will all be under scrutiny. The money saved is to be put aside to fund the Albanians who all want to work and live here. Just rumour for now but the idea has its merits methinks.
//I would start by following up pensions being paid overseas to those who are now dead but whose relatives continue to benefit.//
I think that Mr Sunak, having some knowledge of how these things work considering his "background", is concerned at the numbers of pension/benefits claims being processed that are liable to be either bogus or indeed multi applications for the same individual. It has been difficult to isolate these claims, for fear of it being called racism, using traditional methods. i.e. prove you are, who you say you are, sort of questions. To show even handedness therefor all claimants who live wholly or partly outside the UK will be scrutinised.
