Richi Sunak's plan to abandon the "Triple lock" for state pensions should trigger an early General Election.
Sunak has U turned on the Conservative pledge made by Liz Truss to keep the Triple Lock .Which requires pensions to rise with inflation. This is a decision being made by the Multi Millionaire Prime Minister who struts about Downing St wearing his £3,500 suits. Will the state pensioners vote Tory this time .... No Chance.
//Pensioners wanted lock down and got it,...// Not all of them, youngmaf. In fact, I believe the majority of people who were happy with the lockdown were young and middle-aged professionals. They were able to retreat to their homes, no more travelling to work and they could stay their whilst other poor sods who were not able to do likewise fetched and carried...
I am paying £90 pm direct debit, Shell has suggested I increase that to £104 but I'm over £200 in credit so it'll stay as it is. I'd copy you the bills if I thought you were worth the bother!
//Davebro 10.21,,,, Electric and gas bill only £25 Pw including vat and standing charges on both bills.//
But of course you don't need to spend too much on gas and leccy when you're sitting on your veranda sipping a Pina Colada (or is it a Tequila Sunrise?), do you gully? Spare a thought for us poor sods back here in Blighty, spending a fortune trying to keep warm. :-)
Manifesto pledges are meaningless. Could it be that politicians just say things to get your vote ?. It adds to my opinion that many MPs are self-seeking liars.
\\ Get your facts right Davebro and vulcan I never called anyone a liar .Davebro is the only one on here who has typed the word Liar on this post. OK.//
So why, at last, has your post calling somebody a liar, been removed?
Course they can lobby and I would too (but not by posting misleading posts on answerbank)...join a official campaign...but am still not sure why there in limbo
gully - you tried to deny my assertions that the £500 WFA will cover me on gas/leccy until spring. You were wrong but not just honourable enough to admit it.
