Christ what’s she going to be like with a real trauma in her life?

Hysterical, misguided, clearly fails to understand everyone has listened and are moving towards lower emissions etc., clearly doesn't understand she has as much future as everyone had over all generations, and clearly fails to understand the consequences of abrupt ceasing as she advocates. She needs a dose of reality but that will probably only come with time and accumulated wisdom.

I was due to drive my daughter back to university yesterday, but couldn't because it involved where they were protesting, so instead was on the 25 at silly o'clock this morning, and as I was driving back something occurred to me. The police are shutting the road for fear they may fall, even though they're tethered, but this morning I drove under at least 2 footbridges that span the 25, so I'm really struggling to understand the rationale in closing the country's busiest motorway just because they're up a gantry. If they draped their banners over a footbridge the road wouldn't be closed, and I really don't see the difference.
The hardhats, Hi-Vis, trainers, boots they wear are all by-products of the oil industry; if they had an ounce of conviction, they'd make sure everything they wear, use etc..., would not be.

"A bit OTT" And who do you suspect could be responsible for that? Young kids being bombarded most of their young lives by the media outlets about nuclear war, covid, climate change. The media always focus on bad news. All this plays on young people's minds, (she is scared) and if you can't see that then you need to take a look at yourself, I'm afraid.
" She needs to seek medical help" Well if you had taken the time to look a little closer into this young girl's life then you would have discovered that she has received such for anxiety.
"A Drama Queen" You could see it like that, or you could say this young lady can't find the right way or words to express her fears.
Is this the right way to protest? no, it isn't but in her mind it's the only way, encouraged by older adults and the media.

And climbing up a gantry high above the ground ? If she is as you say nicebloke, where’s her parents? Okay she’s 25 but if she’s mentally unstable she shouldn’t be up there in the first place , and she’s being paid to do it !
I think rather than pointing the finger at people who don’t agree with what she’s about, you should be pointing it at this woman!

nicebloke1. She has chosen to speak to the media and, in pursuing the course she is pursuing, has chosen to expose herself to criticism. Given the disruption - and worse - that she and her like-minded buddies are causing to the rest of society she shouldn't be surprised if criticism what she receives - and she shouldn't be surprised that society doesn't see her 'anxiety' issues as a reason to vindicate her. If sympathy is to be meted out, let it be to the lady who, having suffered a minor stroke, was prevented from gaining the urgent medical treatment her condition required and is now an invalid trapped in a ruined life. 'Anxiety' is the least of her worries!
