Good riddance. Horrible little man.
Great performer and always immaculately dressed, don't support his politics but I for one will miss him.
Like most of the SNP he hardly ever said a sentence without the word "Scotland" in it.
bet he'll still stick his oar in at every opportunity
Miss him like a hole in the head.

Mind you, he did unite the house in the groans when he got up.
I’m with Sqad on this.
Actually in fact a rather nice man.
I like a lot of the SNP folk.
Despite not supporting then
I looked forward to hearing him speak - didn't mince his words. Am not an SNP voter!
He jumped before the pushing became successful.
The best moment for me came when he jumped up to speak to Boris and did so vehemently and angrily. He did so at length. Boris responded asking if Ian was unwell as he had not asked him to resign. He replied that there were many more opportunities for that question to come. Interestingly it was Boris who got stabbed first.
Ian Blackford is a lovely man and an eloquent speaker. Love or hate the SNPs you can't take that away from him. Always immaculately dressed unlike some I could mention. Slagged at every opportunity by the "great and the good" PMSL as TTT would say.

To set the record straight your defence of him or any SNP borders on adulation , that said , I’ve not slagged the man off ,I said he was vocal , which he is !
Bobbisox1b I didn't say you slagged him off. I was referring to the daily slagging at Westmonster. Of course he was vocal, that's what he's paid for. Adulation is not a word I'd use. Having said that we have members who have worshipped at the feet of Thatcher and Johnson PMSL

Count me out re Mrs Thatcher although I was and still am a Johnson supporter and certainly wish he was still at the helm
big probs for Nicola they say
( good)
Question Author
And let’s all start calling Holyrood Holymood for a laugh eh?
With Moody bitter Nicola leading it , as I see it ‘Westmonster’ as you call it, is very generous to Scotland, Don’t bite the hand that feeds you!
certainly wish he was still at the helm

his last cabinet certainly didnt ! hur hur hur
TORATORATORA, 'Like most of the SNP he hardly ever said a sentence without the word "Scotland" in it.'

Really? A Scottish National Party member, representing a Scots constituency, mentioning Scotland?

Whatever next????
The measure of the man will come when he speaks as any other MP. He is not stepping down from that job, just leader of the SNP in the Commons. No doubt he will still be "vocal" when called by Mr Speaker.

But he won't have an automatic right to ask a couple of questions
Just like other back benchers then, some of whom are excellent MPs for their constituents.
