snackrite: "What happened to that 350 million a week that the bus said we were paying? Wouldn’t that fund the nurses wage rise?" - it's already been given to the NHS + more as was suggested.
"Snackrite. He's earning a fortune, and doubtless the people he's talking too are earning fortunes too. Meanwhile you're sitting typing on AB. Who's the fool?"

spot on
^ That's a name from the past, and I've given myself away now as being on here before lol.
That 350 million must have gone on PPE to Michelle Mone and her brand new company and Handsy Matts landlord because it hasn’t gone on wages or ambulance services for sure.
What is it with removed answers on this site? Can people edit their stuff like on Twitter?

Nope.
"^ That's a name from the past, and I've given myself away now as being on here before lol."

I was wasting too much oxygen on people that werent worth wasting it on, my business needed it more than them...and theres still a couple of names on here that drag the site down...eg: the one that acts like a juvenile, doesnt even live in the UK (Lilliput i believe !) but has a pathological obsession with Boris...yeah you know the one.
"Meanwhile you're sitting typing on AB. Who's the fool?"

Errrrrr. :-)
What’s with the answer removed thing? Who is doing the removing?
It's his constituency I feel for. He could've left his public speaking engagements until after he'd left politics (which goes for any serving mp in those circumstances).
Snackwrite - if posts, or entire threads, are deemed to have broken Site Rules, then can be removed.

This site has moderators? For real?

I did suggest you were not a new member a few days ago, and you served the question.

That was dishonest of you.

So true ...
Some people get very familiar with people after just a week!
Mr Johnson is reaping the rewards that all his predecessors have done - massive fees on the speaker circuit.

As Mr Blair has discovered to his benefit, the further away he is from the UK, the more people seem interested in what he has to say, with commensurate massive fees involved.

No doubt Mr Johnson will be able to do the same - Mrs May is similarly enjoying large fees for her pearls of wisdom.

As for Ms Truss, we will have to wait and see.
I'm sure Ms TRuss will do fine too. She is not as articulate as Johnson but that doesnt mean she wont get the 'lower' invites.

When these people do speeches outside of the public arena they are quite different especially if they avoid direct politics (they usually do). I remember hearing Red Ken once, he is actually an entertaining and captivating speaker.

There is clearly a cachet for companies using politicians as speakers, hence the lucrative market tapped by each and every PM on ceasing to hold office, and quite a number of ex-MP's as well.

As a matter of course, all will have developed some level of skill as a public speaker, so it's not difficult to make the far less arduous journey from the House, to a smart hotel function room and a captive and friendly audience.

It must be a relief to trouser far in excess of an MP or even PM's salary for the equivalent time, and far less effort, I imagine Mr Sunak is looking forward to his time in the sun even as I type.
