AOG was still around and the News Section was somewhere good to go................

I certainly had as many, if not more, than anyone else on here, in terms of run-ins with AOG during his tenure on here.

We would go at t like a pair of idiots for days, and then one or other of us would call a halt, expressions of mutual respect would be exchanged, virtual handshakes undertaken, and a temporary truce would exist, until it all started again.

On the plus side, he was extremely good at starting off interesting threads, to which he would rarely contribute, but they went along nicely once commenced.

On the negative side, he could be seriously unpleasant when crossed, and many is the time I flatly refused to debate with him, which of course didn't last long!

I think he was a good aspect of the News section, but no-one is indispensable.
