Church Of England Bishops Refuse To Back Gay Marriage
This would apply equally in the other Abrahamic religions too - Judaism and Islam - but is it right or wrong?

nothing to do with right or wrong - it is the law of England - and the Bishops "dice non!"
Anglican Bishops that is, but the Roman Bishops ( sozza " those pretend prelates who adhere to the Church and Bishop of Rome"), ( " who seditiously and treaonably adhere....) don't seem to be that keen

"My problem with this is that it is no longer possible to disagree with gay marriage / adoption etc. without being labelled as homophobic. One view of that is that a noisy minority group have deprived me of my right to express an opinion. As I said it’s my problem, if you think this is all OK then fine, but I don’t but I can no longer say so, publicly at least. "

it is not surprising but disappointing for gay people and those who care about them... there are christian churches that are willing to marry same-sex couples and some anglican priests who disagree with this decision so there's obviously some way to theologize your way into allowing it... the church has put its books before actually doing good for real-life actually-existing people.
nobody below the age of 50 is likely to be very impressed so they can look forward to being more and more irrelevant and possibly disestablished in future
