The thing is, while there may be other typos in the document, spelling the Ukrainian president’s name “Zelenskyy,” with the letter “y” repeated, was not wrong. In fact, it’s the way Volodymyr likes to spell his name in English, and how it is spelled in his passport.

There's no strictly right or wrong as his actual name is spelled Володимир Зеленський

I read that prior to December 2018, he spelt his surname "Zelenskiy" which is the transcription from the Russian version of his surname.

Strictly speaking it ought to be Zelenskyi if you follow the approved transliteration rules but plainly no one does.

As people probably know, Zelensky is from a Russian speaking part - Dnipropetrovsk oblast - and Ukrainian is not his language of birth
