Why are you telling me that?

It appears you're in denial of the science.

Surely no one would dispute, advances in all forms of scientific technology have served to help and make our lives easier.

Latest pioneering work in uterus transplants can once again lead to a better quality of life for transgender women.

Albeit still much work to be done, let us unite and rejoice that we are a nation that strives to make British society a place which is inclusive for each and everyone of us.
What does it mean?

It means scarce resources being misdirected and the continuation of insanity on demand.
Whatever they transplant it doesn't make a man a woman. Best answer to Douglas. I can't add to that.
Great answer Douglas.
There is no certainty that uterus transplants would lead to a better quality of life for men in denial of their sex. How could it ? Indeed major surgery can lead to all sorts of problems, and when done for unnecessary cosmetic/desired reasons, lead to regret.
It doesn't change chromosomes does it?
Would transgender women actually *get* pregnant...or just carry a baby in that transplanted womb? Not quite the same.
naomi24 what if they transplanted a mans head onto a woman body i know its hypothetical but tell me please your thoughts
Why are you telling me that?
as a polymath he thought you might be er interested

think about it - not really a goer for men
er no well you know one of the THEM
not a real one....
pastafreak that is not very sympathetic to women who cant get pregnant conventionally because it doesnt make them any less of a woman i think that comment is insensitive to use in this argument where is gender is it in the conscious or the subconscious or is it down to the body we use to walk this mortal realm and if so why does changing the body not then change the gender live and let live
///advances in all forms of scientific technology have served to help and make our lives easier. ///

A very dubious statement. Many such advantages have endangered our health/future and some proscribed when we discovered the drawbacks. E.g. Asbestos for insulation, DDT for pest control, glyphosate for weed control, mercury for constipation and tooth filling, Leaded petrol for anti-knock, lead plumbing, Thalidomide for morning sickness, etc.
naomi24 what if they transplanted a mans head onto a woman body i

done: we have a few of them on AB already ! ter daaah ( smiley smiley)
I'm talking about transgender only, roadman. NOT women who were born as women...that's why I mentioned chromosomes. Most who are women from birth will have a womb, though I realise there are rare exceptions, plus there are those who've had surgical removal for some reason. I do know that the technology has been used for women female at birth...as the article states. Unfortunately I couldn't read all of it.

10:46, Bang on BA right there.
Actually...if you read the article, it's only ever been used on WOMEN. It's only now though that transgender are enquiring...doesn't mean it will happen or is even possible.

So we can all untie our knickers... ;)
let's see a womb (XX) put into a man (XY), now I'm no expert but would that not be treated as a foreign invader and attacked by the immune system?
Never have I seen such devotion to attention seeking weirdos as with zebu. I accept there may be genuine cases of GD but they are obscured by the charlatans supported by zebu.
I don't think Zebu is an 'attention seeking weirdo', I just think he knows what pushes some ABer's buttons.
//It’s still early days for uterus transplants in general, they told Euronews Next, and more research is needed before the procedure becomes mainstream.//

Hopefully the medics will ensure that implanting a uterus into a man never becomes "mainstream".
