......the missing woman case in Lancashire, is why the police are going to such lengths and putting so much into this case, when they wouldn't normally do that. Do they know something that they're not revealing? Don't get me wrong though, it's good that the police are making such a big effort, but they wouldn't normally go to these lenghts in a missing persons case would they? Why is this one different?

Can you give an examplecanary. Normally there just straightforward disappearances.. .maybe packed bags and left...this has some odd aspects and captured peoples attentiom

Most disappearances are explained within a few hours. This one has a mystery element to it and we can't resist that.

How do we know she had a happy family life?
Do we know what the phone call was about to her boss, and why was her phone still connected to that?
Why was the dog running to the gate and back?
If she had gone into the water why wasn't there any slippage?
Perhaps she had been suffering from depression and something tipped her over the edge so she slammed down her phone, ran to the gate to a place where she could jump into the water.
I don't think it's been mentioned that she could have taken her own life by jumping into a different stretch of the water.
I hope this isn't true obviously, it's just something I've been wondering about.

It's been requested by the police to stop all this talk and guesswork, because is not helping them and its upsetting for the family. They have had people down at the scene taking selfies. It's not a TV drama, it's real life.

As other people have said there was a very good and factual programme on Ch5 the other night including an interview with her partner.
It was unscheduled but I've just watched it on catch up

Lottie everybody is speculating, it's human nature, but I'm not visiting the area and taking pictures, I'm just concerned like everyone else and just wondering what on earth could have happened to her.
I doubt that what I say here will get back to her family.

Lottie, I understand what you are saying, but I can assure you I haven't spoken about it on Facebook, Twitter and anything else that is called social media.
This is the only place I have left a comment as I thought the chances of anyone seeing it that knew her would be very slim.

Thanks for all the replies folks. I still think there is a larger effort than normal by the police. On Jan 27th last year, a man fell into the River Trent. Police divers searched the area and found nothing and they left it at that. 2 months later he was found dead further downstream.

As I said, I have my own theory about this woman but it may be that we will never know. Thanks again folks.

The police may be holding back on information. Or they may be confused like the rest of us.

The media needs to back off and let the authorities investigate.

I read online of a woman demand that the police search the abandoned building. Did she not consider that the police had thought of that.

I hope there is o more speculation and fewer media stories. I hope he little girls discover what happened to their mum.

I’ve been following this story and also, I am baffled. Especially re the dog Willow. If she was attacked the dog would have reacted. If she just walked off then surely the dog would have followed her…….

there is "something" not quite right..why would she be on a conference call..but muted so as not to participate for one... ? the whole scene looks far too "set up" for my liking ?
