Brexit means that farmers are no longer getting any subsidies from the Common Agricultural Policy.
Farmers were told in 2016 that the UK Government would pay them the same subsidy.
But the truth is rather different. The Government allocated a budget of £2.4Billion. Last year the subsidies to farmers totalled £10.6Million, less than 0.5% of the budget.
Wonder where the rest of the money went :-)
Aye,a wee bit angry with the SNP mob on here who come on and complain that the Scots didnt vote for Brexit, well a majority of SNP voters did vote for Brexit.Down in England it was the English Tories who voted for Brexit,up here in Scotland it was the SNP voters who voted for Brexit.
According to the above poll in The Herald, which does not (officially) endorse any political party, about a third of SNP voters voted for Brexit. My calculator tells me that that must mean that two thirds of SNP voters did not vote for Brexit, same as the rest of Scotland.
"Brexit means that farmers are no longer getting any subsidies from the Common Agricultural Policy." - err you mean the EUSSR are not giving us some of our own money back? right oh!
