Russia denies pouring aviation fuel all over the downed drone, but brilliantly the US produces a video showing it happen. They then denied that there was any contact until another camera shows a damaged propeller tip.
Russia's response apparently is that all this happened on a Hollywood film set.
"I wouldn't be happy for Russian surveillance drones to be flying near us." As a matter of fact, the drone was nowhere near Russia proper. Seventy miles SW of Crimea isn't even close. It was presumably carrying out eavesdropping on occupied Ukraine.
It's when the Russians stop lying, that's when you need to worry, for it would no longer be "situation normal"
Also terminally dumb.
Whoever would have thought a surveillance drone would have had an onboard camera ...
No, no one wants to be surveillanced. But wasn't this in international waters ? Maybe it wasn't showing US colors, or transmitting a US callsign, and some hothead figured that it must be Ukrainian. After all, the US have satellites so probably didn't seem to need a closer look.

something not right here the video shows the jet going on full reheat NOT dumping fuel over it dumping fuel is done from the wing tips on any aircraft. the picture show the massively heated air coming out of the russian jet and i cant see how the propeller was damaged as it lover than the tail fins next to it the pilots in any air force are no the clever i think it was thrown around and damaged by the jet engine blast
