n you actually but a B&W TV nowadays. I think any that are around will be unable to receive digital broadcasts anyway, so won't need a licence.
Sorry - the beginning of my post disappeared.

Ellipsis - Can you etc
Pay for a tv license?Nae chance.Let the left-wing eejits on this site pay for Lineker.I certainly wont.
YNNAFYMMI, I think we've got the message that you don't have a TV licence.
You can certainly buy a black and white licence. I think, if I was blind, that would be sufficient ...
There is also a 50% discount for folk who are blind so the cost of the black and white licence would be reduced by that amount.
Surreal.
The BBC may have it's faults, but it is an exceptional organisation.

You only have to go overseas and see their broadcasts to appreciate how lucky we are.

Add to this look at the BBC websites uncluttered by adverts.

Be careful what you wish for.
I think the clamour for a debate on the fee will gather pace. In these times of multi media the license fee is anachronistic and should be scrapped. How about the BBC having BBC 1 advert free but BBC 2 and 3 and 4 having adverts to raise the income?.
