Why Are They Reporting The Weather In Spain?

Perlease, I keep hearing "record breaking temperatures..." etc yada yada...in kin Spain! For EFF S! Who cares this is UK and it's still pretty kin freezing! Why are the news channels reporting on foreign countries? Who gives a chuff?

I can understand why you are annoyed about the nice weather they are having in Spain TTT ..It is because by the time you have spent half a day in The non EU passport Queue, or the all other passport queue .
It'll be raining in Spain..

Just been to Spain. Malaga airport - approx 200 people queuing. Only took 20 mins at most to get through. Spanish passport control officers were v efficient.

Weather in Northern Ireland is reported regularly on BBC main weather forecasts - same as the rest of the country.

The amount of times the husband and I have sat there and made comment about being left out again.

There are two reasons -

One is that weather from Europe can often drift over here, so we may be in for a spell of warm weather, which is nice to report.

The other is that holiday season is upon us and a lot of people will be traveling to Spain, and elsewhere in Europe and are interested to see what the weather might be like.

The weather is one part of Europe will affect other parts of Europe, or do you imagine the effects stop at the English Channel?
Drought in Spain and the damage to food crops will effect the UK

A lot of people still holiday in spain, knowing you are heading into abnormally hot weather will hopefully allow some more sensible travellers to prepare, wardrobe adjustments, higher SPF products etc.
