But someone needs to tell him that Brexit isn't the only thing affecting things at present (and any Brexit issues are from EU awkwardness, not from leaving anyway). And that the EU point blank refuses to renegotiate, so claiming his party would is just his hoping in vain. I assume whatever this thread is about must have occurred in the 2nd half of the video.
Meanwhile the abandonment of the promise to deal with temporarily retained EU laws is a major thing. It shows an inability of the government to get on and deliver their well publicised promise, presumably because they have no heart to do so, and suggests they have no influence over the civil service, which they are supposed to be effectively in charge of. If they can't get the system to do their bidding then it suggests the whole system needs overhauling; and that is a major issue.
