The return of "Imperial Measurements ." That means pounds and ounces to those who do not know what it means. Is not going to return to Britain after all, as Businesses and voters prefer the metric system.Despite a pledge from Boris at the last election "to restore the ancient libery of using pounds and ounces , but you can keep your curved Bananas.

When Mogg formed his dept he said he would need at least 400 staff to find out which EU Laws to scrap.
Yet he said only yesterday that he could do the job himself alone ,on a long week end
Maggie ❤️ Gully.
I did indeed think NS was a fine leader who served for 16 years all in. Sadly missed, but life moves on. I keep forgetting this is an English site and we still hear about Thatcher, Johnston, Truss et al. Ah well, as I said on another post, everyone is entitled to an opinion, live and let live.

11.52 Do try and stop being so juvenile, and try to act your age ....or are you.
Like Barry I still use pounds, ounces and stones.

I voted to remain. I think that the wrong decision was made.I

BUT, it was made, it won't be reversed and constantly bitching about it achieves zilch.

I have always used both imperial and metric.I think most other people are the same.Decimal style money is a million times better than the old pounds, shillings and pence currency.

I prefer Carat Cake. They're a girls best friend also.
I will always look at a decimal price and automatically convert it to LSD.
Do you still use half-crowns,farthings,white fivers,ten-bob notes also,Retro.
There was nothing wrong with the old monetary system, even children could use it.
In the days of white fivers I wasn't old enough or rich enough to own one. I may have an old 10 bob note hanging around and I defo still have 1952 Crown, half crown, florin, shilling, sixpence theepence , penny, halfpence and farthing. :-) Got quite a collection of Aussie coins in a set also. Compliments of Bob Hawke.
I went to cake shop and all pound cakes were £1
except one cake which was €3...
I asked the shopkeeper why
and
he said "That's Madeira cake"
i use both metric and imperial, i prefer imperial, but for business purpose's i use metric, in the real world, most people would say a pound of apples or whatever, i don't know erm sounds easier i suppose.
My only concern is that I can get a wee dram.
Johnny, Johnny, Johnny. :-)
