A simple mishearing incident around the rebuilding of Forté Hospitality, that's all.

Nobody 'lies' in public life, just ask ToraToraTora.
Perhaps you should look up what a lie is gromit. You seem to have a problem with the language.
I intended hoped West ham would win the premiership. They just might not now, did I lie?
Ya see, told you so. :-) and LOL.
Of the 40, 7 are started, 2 are completed, 33 are on the way. How can that constitute a lie? It takes time and they are work in progress.
"Of the 40, 7 are started, 2 are completed, 33 are on the way."

That totals forty-two.

Are you sure you're a member of Mensa?
Don't know where your figure came from, Gromit, but the pledge was 'by 2030', and here's what's happening.

//The Conservatives' pledge to build 40 new hospitals by 2030 is facing a review by the government's spending watchdog. //

10.37.... Densa ... oops Typo. I meant Mensa
The Government's understanding of a, "new hospital" is likely to differ from most folk's understanding.

It's

"A whole new hospital on a new site or current NHS land

A major new clinical building on an existing site or a new wing of an existing hospital

A major refurbishment and alteration of all but the building frame or main structure"
Heren you go Gromit.

It takes many years to build a hospital you know and last time I looked 2023 is not 2030.

They have built 2 in 3 years. So about one every 18 months. So completion of the rest by 2083 :-)
Come on Gromit use that brain you have (and I know you are not thick in the slightest).

As Corby has highlit the definition of a hospital varies (Alwasy has e.g. cottage hospitals etc).

Clearly a dedicated unit on an existing hospital is far quicker than a full hospital that can take 10 years (much of it planning wrangling) and there is a full mix on there.

Something else that might of slipped your attention is that there is a shortage of building tradespeople. And not just in this country.
surely you mean
another llllliiiiiiieeeeeee! - look glairy

no - we are assured it was just election dross - like 24 h to save the NHS, or hem hem £350m a week to the NHS
40 new hospital was apparently another
They haven't even got planning permission for 33 of them.
PMSL.
That is because planning in this country is not a done deal and on the whole well thought out.

You appear to have ignored my post above explaining. Too many words for you I suppose.

There are people here who believe 40 new hospitals will be built by 2030, many I suspect are the same people who think Brexit is a great success for the UK.
If you owned your house and added an extension, would you then claim to have built a new house?

No it wasn't. It was a promise.

If Johnson had said we won't be breaching covid rules at 10 Downing Street that wouldn't be a lie either, it would also be a promise.

When he said they hadn't after he knew they had, that was a lie.
Yawn !
