Historical anonymous alleged victims claiming he was inappropiate so what do we get: The bloke suspended and hung out to the Court of Social Media.
This has to stop. Names must not be released unless there is concrete evidence and Plod are involved.
Note for the usual: I am not saying he didnt do it but once again it appears the premise of innocent until proven guilty takes a ack seat.

This is a case in point, the Labour party pandered to the outraged air in the country at the moment. The MP should be investigated and then if found guilty after an investigation be suspended or expelled.
I've always felt this was unfair, whether the named person is known to the public or not. Several lives have been ruined by women who have made allegations that have been fictitious. I can understand the police may want other witnesses but they have enough to be going on with and decide whether to proceed.
then you're heading toward secret trials, with names released only afterwards, or not at all.. This may be acceptable in private companies, where a staff member can be (comparatively) easily sacked, but given the scrutiny political parties come under, I can't blame them for trying to do things as transparently as possible.
As for social media, tough, they're here and we have to live with them. Soon we'll be having to live with the things AI can do, which look like being far more sinister.

Utter tosh. The trial wont be secret there will be a Jury of 12 men and women good and true, this is the UK you know.
And as for the "or not at all". What can I say, throw in something totally ridiculous to try and justify your ultra liberal view.
And what exactly will AI do, accuse men of touching it?

hang on, we're not talking about a trial yet (well, I'm not), just an unspecified "investigation". If, say, it's a party investigation, and they decide he's done nothing wrong, then we'd never even know there was a question mark over his behaviour. Would that be good?
As for what AI can do, well, provide photographic evidence maybe?

Yes, if not enough for Police to prosecute or even arrest why besmirch his name? It should be for the Police and Judiciary to decide the guilt not a panel and social media.

All so called AI does is search its database - e.g. the web. They have put fancy front ends in place to receive the request and give it back. To speed it up it will store questions and answers for future use. We had this in a Bank payment system to fix errors 20 years ago. The only time it could find photographic evidence is if someone put it on the web, or it created a false picture of course.
