That damn brexit, look at how it has affected France dearest in over half the items.
Did you notice that the BBC first highlighted the items that were more expensive in the UK. Typical!
What a load of rubbish.Living in Spain, I never pay those prices, it depends where you go shopping and take advantage of the constant special offers.
Can't see the point in this post, only that the OP is trying to point out that overall food prices , remain 19% higher in the UK than what they were a year ago.
These things are all a nonsense. As Samuraisan has pointed out you can buy things cheaper than they quote in Spain, well same applies in the UK not only that nut in all countries regional prices can vary enormously.

There is also the problem of like for like. For instance bog roll on the continent tends to be the thin stuff you have to use reams of to stop your finger going through, never seen decent stuff.

//remain 19% higher in the UK than what they were a year ago.//

Yes interesting the BBC puts that in bold but then fails to tell you the equivalent in the different countries across Europe.
13.28 YMB .What is the reason that you need stronger Bog rolls in the UK then.??
Much hotter curry. Never had a decent ruby in Europe (apart from the one in Palma Nova which is a BIR effectively).

Cant get decent chili sauce on kebabs either. I did find a bloke in Bruxelles who had some under the counter but he was really reluctant to hand it out. It was the strength you would just get here.

OK I tried to engage by posting in News but when you get a comment like 12.57 you realise there is no point.
Well I did counter it but its been ignored by our pro EU (resident?)
Lankeeka, take no notice. Gulliver would have no objection to posting about prices if they showed this country in a bad light. He’s even tacked a bit on the end of his post that confirms that.
Naomi @ 13.50 Please use the correct user name and obey Site Rules .The OP is known as Lankeela not Lankeeka.
Lanks just post your own stuff and ignore the troll.
TTT @ 19.06 What colour hat do you wear when you are out hacking these days Black , white or grey. ??
The prices are in £ so the exchange rate will play a part. I shop on line so see which items are on sale for the week and buy accordingly. I buy own brands if they are cheaper. We also have zero tax on many items each week. I also buy what is from Portugal rather than imported
