A buffoon that was inexplicably popular with the Italian electorate.

People seem to love a 'character', irrespective of how dishonest, corrupt or incompetent they are.
Damn, that means my invitation to the summer bunga bunga has been defenestrated!
Shame it wasn't Vlad.
I thought you were a Corbyn fan, Untitled?
Scandal and corruption followed him around. He will not be missed.
the eidtor has assured me that fully 91% of Abers have no idea who Berlusconi was , and a different 45% think he is the Italian on the side of Pesto bottle

the other 5 have replied
Trump Boris and Berlusconi all managed to tap into the " Rough but lovable diamond, who can do what he likes because he achieves things" vein of support. Very distressing for those who saw thro the charade from the first day
I thought defenestration was only used of people

FORMAL•HUMOROUS. the action of throwing someone out of a window. "death by defenestration has a venerable history" - Prague chalks up as many as three
2.
INFORMAL:the action or process of dismissing someone from a position of power or authority.
"that victory resulted in Churchill's own defenestration by the war-weary British electorate"

yours pedantically P.P

thx jno,
I rather missed Putin fave method of dealing with colleagues.

At 6.30 on the morning of 10 Mar 1948, the body of foreign minister Jan Masaryk was found lying in the cobbled courtyard below the window of his official flat in the palace.

started off the modern trend
bottle with er pesto in it
( got green stuff in it from the herbs used + garlic)
see local supermarket

That's not a pesto bottle, Mr Pedant.
BA for LadyCG please.

I just get that feeling; “What we COULD have” ;-)

As for the world, no worse off I’d say certainly.

indeed lady CG... i do hope the grim reaper doesn't wait until 86 to visit Putin...

i am indeed a fan of corbyn royfromaus... but not unconditionally!
One slimy little weasel exits left.
Know very little about this man but............ he would have been a son, husband, father etc etc.
the company that makes "just men" will be feeling the pinch
just for men (amendment)
How can they actually tell if he's dead? All that plastic surgery he's had made him look dead already.
I'm rather with maggiebee on this - he was a person who had a family who are now bereaved (see PP there are more than 5 of us who have heard of Berlusconi). He was always entertaining - if appalling!
