for 90 days had he not resigned. tbh, I am not surprised but it is a mucky game in politics and there will be more dirt-throwing, no doubt. The world still spins ;)

//i honestly dom't know what his cringeing followers want.// Ah, if all else fails name call. It seems quite clear from the posts above: An impartial set of Judges with the Chair in particular being impartial. And what is wrong with that?

//Well one. The Committee had 5 members with the Conservatives having a majority.//

And?
Question Author
Atheist, surely none can say Harman's words, before she chaired the committee, were impartial? I suspect that many a supporter of any persuasion will agree with me, even if silently to themselves.
ZM @ 10.17 Close the thread Naomi . People are saying nasty things about Boris and our Tory party.
......How juvenile grow up.
//surely none can say Harman's words, before she chaired the committee, were impartial? I suspect that many a supporter of any persuasion will agree with me, even if silently to themselves. //

It's known as a stitch up. We all know that - even if some won't admit it.
I doubt if aCommittee could have been set up with six people who did not have a view on Johnson's behaviour. Where would you find six politicians who wouldn't be classed as for or against him? The Committee did listen to Johnson and gave him every opportunity to answer questions and justify himself, and they will have formed an opinion based on the proceedings. Not everyone is bent and corrupt.
He's doing what Trump has done, blamed his 'judges' for being bent and corrupt, rather than accept that he is just that.
// Well one. The Committee had 5 members with the Conservatives having a majority.

One of the 5 (a Tory one) may be a hypocrite. That does not invalidate the conclusion of ALL of them, as was attempted earlier.
People may have had opinions, atheist, but the Chair of that Committee expressed her opinions in no uncertain terms before the hearing - and anyone sitting in judgement of another who does that must be deemed unsuitable - and that's putting it mildly. Disgraceful that anyone should consider that acceptable.

If only the school playground behaviour and mentality could removed from our Parliament. I know it has always been present and will continue, sadly.
//Not everyone is bent and corrupt.//

Err, hang on these are politicians we are talking about.

In no way can you claim HarPerson went in with an open mind. Same for that Tory that has been found out.

I have not been backward in my desire for Johnson to go, but this is a stich up.

And as for Trump, the most investigated man ever, no Guilty verdict yet. If all those attempts isnt a gross misue of the DOJ and FBI then I dont know what isnt.

Those who think this is funny because it 'got Johnson' need to be careful. A precedent has now been set and its not a good one IMHO.
//That does not invalidate the conclusion of ALL of them, as was attempted earlier.//

As I understand it he had the casting vote.

Exactly. If a juror did that all hell would be let loose on them. And rightly so.
90 days
not long enough for a liar ! he should be handcuffed and branded.

Nay nay lad, he is as pure as the driven snooo, ( and I dont mean up his nooze if you get my meaning) - he has not a dishonest bone in his body. And remember he gave us Blessed full face Brexit, and boon and benefit to all ! I say Pish and Poo-poo to all the gain sayers, detractors, libellist, hacks and and thorough bad hats
just doing a Naomi there

Has anyone got a URL for the pdf
I feel it is my duty to read every liying word - every falsity about a saintly, holy, riven man - - - (note can anyone be riven, it yes then he is)
( thanks to Oscar Wilde - it was higher than a duty it had become a pleasure)
Well at least we dont have punch-ups as other Parliaments have had - yet Choux!

Sorry, ymb, I was correcting my previous post, not yours.
four out of the seven commmittee members were of his party and none of them were involved in ousting him...

i honestly dom't know what his cringeing followers want. their man lied to parliament and that's the end of it.
Question Author
That is why the lines are on the floor of the HoC, ymb. Mind you, they don't stop in-fighting on the same side ;)
Naomi
Parliament voted by a substantial majority to refer Johnson to the Priviliges Committee. By your reckoning that would have meant they could not be unbiased and judged him. The present committee was formed long before the Johnson case came to it.
//i honestly dom't know what his cringeing followers want.//

Ah, if all else fails name call.

It seems quite clear from the posts above: An impartial set of Judges with the Chair in particular being impartial.

And what is wrong with that?
did bernard jenkin lie to the house of commons about his activities? if he did not then it is irrelevant because that is what they were investigating
