She was 87, good lord . What was the film she made with. ( forgotten his name) she was his mistress I think ?
Women in Love with Oliver Reed?
Oh my...I didn't realise she was still alive.
Back in the day, if Glenda Jackson was in a film, you knew it would be worth watching. One of our best actresses, imho.

RIP Glenda

Very true Ken. Yet she once said the highlight of her acting career was appearing on the Morecambe & Wise show. This remark, and her performance on that show parodying her own acting, show what a wonderful person she was. She will be much missed.
Yes, brilliant actress.
RIP Glenda.
Sad news indeed. RIP Glenda.
A touch of class ?
She played King Lear at the age of 80.

I really wish I’d seen that
RIP ...
it was magnificent, ichkeria. Actually 82, I think
Marvellous actor. Supported Labour and played a male Shakespearian role, and still loved as a national treasure, despite doing all the "wrong" things. (Wrong in the right-wing AB sense).
Bless you, Glenda.
A wonderful actor, yes definitely R.I.P.. I believe her very last film, with Michel Caine playing a D-Day veteran who escapes from his care home to revisit Normandy, is yet to come out. I shall look forward to it.
also wrong in the Labour sense, Atheist - she might well have gone a lot further in politics if she hadn't forthrightly opposed the Iraq war, but she stuck to her principles.
RIP Glenda.
A wonderful actress;
A stuiring and caringly thoughtful politician;
Someone with a great sense of humour and self awareness.

Not many people like that - if any. You were inspiration and long may you be remembered.
She wreaked heinous social and economic damage on the UK.

Some ABers are going to have to re-evaluate their praise of Glenda.

Elizabeth is Missing is on BBC 4 now.
Hi olds
yes agree - she was worth a cinema ticket - I liked a touch of class

women in love - ken russell. Gorgeous cozzies - the brightest and best supplied by russells wife who was a collector ( obv c taste).
