What motivated people who attacked Huw Edwards and the BBC? Were they going after him, or after the BBC? No crime committed. Those who did it must have a reason. Is it an attack on our institutions or on Edwards? I think it's an attack on the BBC first, and Edwards as the means to attack the BBC.
Who benefits from all this?

You only normally hear that someone has a mental health issue when they get caught out, up until that point they've been clever enough. ( not mental) to avoid getting caught.

There are lots of crimes that plead mental health issues. But not Jimmy Savile, because he was never brought to justice even though his crimes were heinous. And not Huw Edwards, because he didn't do anything illegal. I hope you see the difference.

Huw Edwards appears to be the only one in the UK that has a mental health issue who can still go to work then for all these years, everyone else uses it for an excuse not to work. :>)

It is another name and shame job from the parents and a tabloid. I hope Huw Edwards gets the help he needs, i cannot see this as the end of his career, and he has a good wife who will support him. The BBC seems to be riddled with scandals and have never been good handling them.
