These Nutters With Their Smiley Faces Want Thrown In Jail
Then heavily fined , hot them in their pockets !
Yes they’re entitled to protest but they’re not ‘entitled’ to stop others getting on with their jobs ….

No-one is EVER correct to make working people late for work; life is tough enough without these self- righteous morons making it worse. Standing in the way of people who need hospital treatments, making people miss funerals and impeding the emergency services isn't just 'incorrect', it is disgustingly selfish. If they have a problem with oil companies...

they are right. witness the awful heatwaves in europe and north america... in places temperatures are already reaching highs that are not survivable by human beings without air conditioning... in others they are reaching temperatures high enough to cause crop failure. i would argue that this problem is likely to cause much much worse disruption... if you're angry at protestors you should be incandescent about climate change.
they are right about the problem.
the fossil fuel industry profits from evil on a colossal. it is quite literally destroying human civilization and does not care... note for example the efforts of exxon to suppress the evidence on climate change for decades... note the awful abuses of human rights that are carried out to protect fossil fuel extraction... we all know these things and we are all dependent on these things because our economy is set up that way and private individuals cannot simply divest from it.
these things are worse than paintings or statues getting damaged or people being late for work. much much worse and unfortunately the issue can't really wait until it's convenient to do something.

untitled - No-one would deny that climate change is happening - but it has always happened.
The earth has a history of heating and cooling, it is simply doing as it has always done.
If our species seriously wants to address what may or may not be our addition to the issue, then it's no use appealing to the consciences of the businesses involved, because they don't have one.
The only way to make businesses cut carbon emissions, is to give them a financial incentive to do so.
That is nowhere in sight, and until it is, expect America and China to mumble platitudes in the first case, and ignore the issue in the second, and everything to carry on as it is.

i was disrupted seriously and more than once by extinction rebellion though not yet JSO... it was very very annoying and i got quite cross. but having cooled off and looked at it in the cold light of day i realise that my personal annoyance is irrelevant and looking at the actual issues involved... they are correct.
