Damned Savages.
do you believe that the taliban are a representative example of what muslims actually believe?
Presumably it may be in that part of the world, or how else would they get the support and the power.
It's not as if enlightened nations haven't had a go at them in the past to the benefit of local moderates. Their brainwashed "soldiers" aren't appearing from nowhere.
Occurs in The Black Crows - towards the end
This is meant to show life in Idlib when it was occupied.

Surreal scene where the leader plays jazz time whilst the rest of his band gets chopped up.

Not new - certainly not new when involves puritan killjoys

I can only echo that view.

Majority views are not 'news' - only extreme ones are worth parading in the media so we can all gasp and throw up our hands in horror.

Saying that The Taliban represent Islam is like saying the NRA represent America.

The majority view is clearly not as extreme as that, and therefore not as 'exciting' for foreigners to read about.
There are currently about 10 million in the world of a similar mindset.
Where does that figure of ten million come from?
Why not just set up a Taliband to chant the good word eight to the bar?
They've missed a trick there.
Corby - // Where does that figure of ten million come from? //

Naomi's counted them!
Earlier I googled' Did the prophet Allah play any Musical instruments?'

It's probably a provable fact that however intensely and fanatically someone follows a religion, a proportionate drop in their sense of warmth, fun, enjoyment and humanity is swift to follow.
No, I didn’t count them, AH. I just know what to look for.
yes ! she can SMELL them !

Did the prophet Allah play any Musical instruments?'

er the prophet is Mohammed ( pbuh) and Allah is well God.
BUT
The Qur'an does not specifically refer to music itself. Some scholars, however, have interpreted the phrase "idle talk", which is discouraged, as including music.
and here is an article on Egypts most famous singer

If you can tell the religion of ten million people just by looking at them, you are seriously wasted on here!
If the awful wailing and banging that muslims seem to listen to passes for music, I'm all for the Taliban getting rid of the instruments!
AH, I didn’t say I looked at them. I said I know what to look for.
And PP, if you’re talking about me, I have a name and it’s not ‘she’. And, no, I can’t smell them.
Keep digging ...
Are you talking to me, AH?
