Let's not have a row about it.  We know why it happened now.

Bobbinwales 13.33 should say 13.21

13.38. Maybe the professionals at the scene have evidence to make that assertion .

My thoughts exactly Barrie, his family can't know that unless they were on the bus at the time.

A sad story for all concerned.

Gulliver, 13.29.  You're mistaken.  If you were in the same situation I'd be  fair to you too.

Sorry, should be Barry.

There will be witnesses who were on the bus at the time.

To be fair, it's very unusual for TTT to make a reckless assumption that turns out to be totally wrong ...

Coach drivers wouldn't stay employed for long if they layed on their phones while driving. A passenger would report them, they are usually very visible.

The paramedics could have seen signs hr had a stroke or heart attack while tending to him

Pretty much common sense that a large, or even small coach companies that invests thousands of pounds in buying their fleet would not choose to invest in a hands free system that costs pennies. After all they do need to have a up date now and again on drivers location or delays of getting to be where they should be at any given time.

Extremely sad for all who died and their families and also the other children/people were involved, my heart goes out to them all. Now I may be lambasted for this but I do disagree with the "go fund me" that has been set up for him.  His age and the fact that he has got a family should be paying for his funeral. The "go fund me" appeals I find uncomfortable.

> His age and the fact that he has got a family should be paying for his funeral.

I don't know what you mean.

If you don't want to contribute to the gofundme page, then don't; if other people do, then they will - that's not your problem.

Will put my concerns to the Ed.... wh will then be ignored.

// I reckon the driver either fell asleep or was playing on his phone or somwthing. //

another spectacularly bad prediction from the poster who is thinking the Tories will win the next General Election

From the link :-

Supt Sabi Kaur , "We would also ask the public to avoid speculating on the incident or posting information or images which could be distressing for the families and those involved."

TTT obviously doesn't care. No surprise there.

// We would also ask the public to avoid speculating on the incident //

Agree 100%...... and that includes trying to interpret the family comment about him having a medical issues beforehand and assuming a heart attack or similar.

TTTs OP may or may not end up looking foolish but will have to wait...

At least it wasn't another embarrassing 'Let's do the usual dance nonsense thread :-(

Transport related tragedies are fairly common.

As an example the wheels have come off this one.

A snapshot taken at 13:33:32 to-day shows,

"a GoFundMe fundraiser for his funeral, Mr Shrimpton's family said he had suffered a medical issue while he was driving."

That snapshot also shows it was updated two minutes before.

Looking at an earlier snapshot shows the reference to a medical issue was not mentioned.

It is clear then that the link TORATORATORA posted at 13:05 did not contain the  new information.
