But that is what we would be heading for.  Since 9/11 the world has changed.  Given a Palestinian victory there would be no half measures.  That, in effect, is what you're supporting.  Idealism is all very well but it doesn't work in the real world.

Many thousands, from both north and south, joined the British army and fought against the Nazis.

To try and blame Ireland for what others did is stretching things more than a bit too far.

  Israel will inflict collective punishment on the Palestinians.  They are a mighty power in the region.

But when they do the problem will still be there until there's a negotiated settlement.
