What this teacher had gone through is just terrible - what punishment is being doled out to the teachers involved and to the girls - the very least for wasting police time
the pittance that he has been awarded is not enough for what this man has been through.

Sadly the result of right-on liberalism and too many 'rights' for kids making a teachers job virtually impossible.
OK, this time it was a bloke but kids have also found ways to get at female teachers too and wreck their lives.
It's not acceptable and £45K is a disgustingly low amount especially has we have seen awards far bigger just for hurty words.
The Country has become a Joke.
It has little to do with the Government (Although it is not a right wing Govbernment in any shape or form)
The liberals having failed at the ballot box infiltrated the main institutions such as Police, Judiciary, schools, Unis, The Conservative & Liberal Partys and lets not forget the Civil Service.
This will be a problem for labour too if they find themselves in No10.

Do you suggest that we go back to the days when children who were being abused were afraid to speak up or who were brave enough to approach authorities and were not believed?
I agree that men have a rough deal, if an allegation is made then the man should not be named as, even if he is found to be innocent, it will affect him for life.
I'm intrigued by the "Years and years of Right wing Government" comment.
The current Government is not right wing. St Blair's Goverment was more right wing than the current Government. It just was.
I'm a natural Tory (i.e, small 'g' Government, low taxation, little regulation, reward those who strive to do well) so the current Tory Government doesn't represent me. To describe the current Government as right wing IS factually wrong.
