I hardly think that 'Tommy's oft-quoted nonsense about him being a 'patriot' successfully hides his criminal history, or his professional agitating at public events.

I am sure Hamas members would say they are 'patriots', it doesn't justify their actions - claiming 'patriotism' simply allows people to look in the mirror and feel good about themselves, and not have to admit, in 'Robinson's' case, that he is a racist thug and a convicted criminal.

As the good Doctor Johnson said, "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel."

I'm sure if you looked up that quote, there would be a little picture of 'Tommy Robinson' next to it.

Jeff Taylor is a self-important Youtube wonk with about three hundred people who follow his nonsense.

I wouldn't trust him to walk my dog round the block, and his opinion carries no more, and probably considerably less, than just about anyone else who was there on the day.

I stand corrected - that was the figure given when I checked him out over twelve months ago, when I watched one of his pointless videos on a link from a question on AB.

First of all, please don't judge me by your own extremes of assessment.

Because you are a Fervent, you appear to assume that everyone sees the world in the same way that you do, living in extremes of love and hate - they don't.

For your information, I don't 'hate' anyone at all - that's far too extreme an adjective, especially when applied to complete strangers like 'Tommy Robinson'.

I despise him, and I make no secret of that, but that's a very very long way of 'hating' him, which I absolutely do not.

Spangle- I don't despise 'Tommy Robinson' for his political views - I despise him because he is crook, a thug, and a professional troublemaker, and he hides behind a facade of 'patriotism' which he uses to excuse his racism and bigotry.

He is an odious villain, that's why I despise him.

And no-one has to 'know' anyone who places themselves in the public eye, in order to have an opinion on them.

I don't 'know' Paul McCartney either, but I admire him hugely.
