so Labour have a vote on whether their policy is to call for a ceasefire! PMSL! So now everyone can see who the terrorist lovers are! Even if they called for a ceasefire there would not be one. Even if Hamas/IDF agreed to one it would be broken by Hamas in the first 5 minutes!

While your conclusion is probably valid, I  think folk can make a good case to say both sides are being terrorised at present. The sooner this ends, the better.

It isn't pointless though. It's useful for splitting parties into 2 camps. The Tories have already obliged, Labour is a little late coming to the party.

I would suggest that Labour are aware that this is just a gesture, which will be ignored, but a lot of politics is about pointless gestures - like Mr Sunak threatening to take us out of the jurisdiction of the UCHR.
