3.000 hospital admissions per day of obesity related problems. More than 3 times smoking related.
"how do you break the habit of eating youngmafbog?"
You don't have to break the habit of eating. You have to break the habit of eating too much of the wrong stuff.
As a comparision, during the two years of the Covid pandemic from 1st March 2020 to 31st March 2022, the average number of hospital admissions due to Covid was a trifle over 1,000 per day. During that time, daily admissions exceeded 3,000 for only 34 of the 730 days and these were all during the worst peak which occurred between the end of December 2020 and early January 2021.
By any measure, these admission numbers seem to far exceed those due to Covid. So why aren't the daily numbers of hospital admissions due to obesity plastered all over the telly and newspapers? Why are there not daily bulletins from the Prime minister and senior scientific advisors, explaining the severity of the problem and urging everybody to "stay slim, save lives, protect the NHS"?
This "plus-sized" 'influencer' is so entitled that she thinks normal-sized people should subsidise her need for a free seat.
This woman is not 'plus-sized'.
She's morbidly obese and looks disgusting. Perhaps people her size should hear this more rather than pussy-footing around with mealy-mouthed language.
I watched a documentary some years ago about obesity and it showed a cheery, obese man probably in his early 70s who was happy to shown having his bottom washed by a carer because he was too fat to reach.
That was a kick up the bottom for me, I never want to be that man. Why did he think that is an acceptable way to live?
My surgeon told me to lose two stone before he would give me my new hip. I lost two stone two pounds in nine months. No faddy diets, I just ate less and cut sweets, cake etc out completely except for a very occasional treat. My operation was a lot safer and my hip stands a far better chance of staying in place. Win, win situation.
