Finally The "Christian" Does The Right Thing.....

Self-reproach and repentence are Christian virtues.
What if she is sincere, what do you say then? //
The lady would need neither if she had been more willing to trust the inherent good nature and integrity of PO employees, instead of assuming them thieves and criminals blaming a faultless computer system.
Had she shown Christianity, she would have reacted with compassion and sympathy as this disaster unfolded with bankruptcies, ruined lives, shattered reputations and suicides.
Instead she covered up the fact that the softwware was at fault, and she pretended not to question the rather glaring conincidence, that immediately after a new system was installed, several hundred sub-postmasters simultanioulsy decided to become criminals at the same time, overnight.
Even now, it has taken the outrage of the nation, years later, to make her hand back her reward for 'services to the Post Office', and she has done it without remorse or contrition.
She is a horrible hypocritical fervent, Khandro, stop defending her, suck it up, and stop digging.
lankeela: "If so many people stole so much money why were they all skint or bankrupt and not living a life of luxury somewhere warm?" - valid point but the even bogger point was that once they extorted the "stolen" money from their victims they had nowhere to point it it accounting terms so it was put in a suspense account and eventually absorbed into the PO profits. In any other business suspense accounts are used until the true home for the money is found. They could not find where it went because it had no place. So for example the £36k they stole from Jo Hamilton just sat there and was eventually added to the profits. That in itself should/would have rang alarm bells in any other business.
That must have occurred to even the perps but presumably covering the whole thing up was more important to them. I also wonder how anyone continued as a postmaster knowing that at any time they too could be a victim. Maybe that's another reason why the kept it quiet so all the postmasters didn't just walk before they became victims too.
seems it was a problem they thought would just go away err glitch work itself out ermm, kick it down the road, should it not have been the company who installed to check it was reliable and accurate, or is it you buy software, your problem after install, im sure all this can be narrowed down to a few people.
Let's see - either a seriously large number of previously honest sub-postmasters who have worked for years with no problem, have suddenly all taken it into their minds at exactly the same time, that they will all commit instantly detectable fraud over their accounting systems, or ... the new accounting system we've spent millions on has fallen over on Day One, and screwed up everything it should be telling us.
Well, it's obvious - if we admit we dropped off, and our million-pound system is a crock, we'll look stupid and get fired.
Better start charging those pesky clerk types then ....
I mean, what can go wrong .....

So, let's see what we've got here on AB; an atheist accusing a Christian of not being 'Christian' enough - hypocrisy on steroids! //
No Khandro - what you've got is not -
An athenist accusing a Christian of not 'not being Christian enough',
Itls that she's not Christian AT ALL!!!!!
// It's rather like a person who can't swim, telling a person who can swim, that their swimming is not good enough. 🙄 //
No, it's rather like a person who believes in the inherent good in his fellow Man, telling a person who believes that a large number of citizens are suddenly thieves and liars, that her morality and humanity are bereft.
If you are really going to defend this wretch on the basis her, and your Christianity, I would seriously think about saving your own reputation on here, before you trash it along with hers, with your usual imperfect and instantly demolished pointless comparisons.
