I am not for nuclear weapons or power stations , but the country to the south of mine likes them but not on their soil so I have to have them.
I want to be part of Europe but the country to the south of mine wanted to go it alone so I was forced to leave even though 62 percent voted to remain.
I respect my NHS and want to keep it in the public hands but the country to the south of mine wants to sell it to private sector I fear how people will pay for health care.
My country produces more energy than we need, but the country to the south of mine takes it to the national grid and charges me to use it then sells me back the same energy at the highest prices.
My country has plenty of fresh water and is in public hands the country to the south of mine has very little and its water is privately owned they want to take mine.
I have my own devolved parliament democratically elected but the country to the south of mine does not like it and interferes with it and wants to take away its powers.
The country to the south of mine has a government that I never voted for and my country has never voted for in 65 years but i have to live by what they say.
And you ask why I need independence.

1) How will you replace the funding you get from England?
2) Are you happy to continue using the pound but have no control of it?
3) How will you service your part of the national debt?
4) How will you stop the inevitable exodus to England once the decision has been made?
5) Will you continue to offer free prescriptions, university etc ?
6) …if so how far are you prepared to raise taxes for those that remain?
7) How will you attract investment to, what will have to be a high taxation area?
8) How will you replace and fund the parts of the UK infrastructure that you now take for granted? Eg military, police, public transport?
9) are you prepared to adopt the EURO as a condition of joining the EUSSR?
10) Are you prepared to construct a border as a condition of joining the EUSSR?
The SNP have never addressed any of the above perhaps our resident "independence" supporters would like to have a go.
hang on a mo, where in scotland do they make nuclear weapons?
doesnt england have about 7 np stations, whereas scotland has 1?
if you make more energy than you need, doesnt ANY of it come from there?
If your water is in public hands and someone wants to buy it, surely that's good for your economy?
isnt NHS scotland independent from "the NHS" in england?
There is nothing I'd like to see more than Independence for Scotland. I've no idea if it would be good or bad and don't care, I just want to see them get on with it on their own - and that has come 100% from reading what our Scottish ABers post on here, they all make it clear what they think about 'the country south of mine'.
If Scotland is that bad why are there lots of south of the border moving up here? Also all very welcome. The small hamlet of 9 houses where I live 7 are occupied by English people and they love it up here.
I have never made it clear on here what I think of south of the border as nothing about it bothers me I get on very well with the ones up here that I know. Take people as you find them I say.
