Yesterdays Sunday Papers came with a grim reading for Sunak and The Tories with a new survey predicting Sir Keir Starmer and his Labour Party are set for a massive majority of 416 leaving the Tories with just 37 seats. Are these worrying times for Tory supporters or do they close their ears and eyes to it ,and deny it all and say it's all lies .

Do Tory supporting abers think, this further drop of their Party in the Polls is anything to do with Starmer leaving the D Day landing celebration early to return home to do a TV interview.

Question Author

Or was Starmer just being a typical Tory politician obeying the code of conduct Self first, Party second and Public last..????

Starmer leaving?

Starmer being a typical Tory...?

Gulliver, have you been at the Vino Collapso?  Read your posts again.

OOps that should have read Sunak not Starmer. Bloody predictive texting...lol.

Gulliver, it's unfair to blame predictive text. If you'd started typing Sunak, it's very unlikely that your phone typed Sir Keir...

The best thing to bring voters back into the Tory fold is to have a Labour Government.

Interesting that even Labour can't tell Starmer and Sunak apart.

I'm not worried, it won't affect me. It's the poor saucepans out there that are about to find out what a labour government is like after 45 years that I feel for. You see they are a bit Trobby, a bit lefty probably think that they'll be able to storm the houses of the "rich" and steal all their money. In a way a Labour government can be a public service. By the next election those that voted labour especially the young may well wonder why.

I’ve got the urge to remind people how bad things were under the last Labour government – people seem to have forgotten:-

·         NHS waiting times at a record low

·         NHS satisfaction at a record high

·         4.3 million children (30% of all UK children) in poverty in 2022/23, up from 3.6 million in 2010/11

·         National debt (as a percentage of GDP in 2010) 70%, now just under 100%

·         Net migration (into the UK) in 2010, circa 250k; current net migration circa 700k

It was so good, hymie, that the electorate kicked them out!!    🤣

Twas ever thus - it's not so much a question of policies & performance with the hoi polo. It's just a case of - well we are fed up with this lot so let's try the others. Dire system.

Hymie-

Iraq.  Afghanistan. Northern Rock.  Brown's Gold.  Knighting Fred Goodwin.  Browns tax bombshell.  Cash for honours.   Bigoted woman.

No thanks- we remember it all too well.

And that wasnt a proper labour Government!

most wont remember the last real Labour government. Sick man of Europe, bodies un buried in the back of food trucks. Leicester square full of Garbage etc etc.

Ahh Sunny Jim and the Winter of Discontent. Trade Unions running the Country and threatening violence to all who disagreed with their greed and envy driven agenda. Crisis? What crisis?

We are where we are & it seems inevitably that the UK is in for a Labour disaster: a party which will be, as it always has been, beholden to the unions but now with the added dimension of the Islamist voters

The only hope for the future is that Reform UK can get 2 or 3 MPs to join Lee Anderson & they can form a power base to grow into a real force for the future election in four years time, by when Labour will have brought the country to it's knees.

You just gotta love Emily Thornberry (Lady Nugee). Tax private schools. State schools will have to accept larger classes. Big gob and even bigger foot. Of course she sent her kids to private school.

Do as I say not as I do.

PS - that was reputed to be the subject of a sermon by a preacher at a local chapel. Later that day he hanged himself in the vestry!
