Climate Change Robs Family Of Life...

//Keir Starmer has revealed that he will refuse to work around the clock should his party win Thursday’s election. Speaking to Virgin Radio, the Labour leader contrasted himself with the current premier, well known for keeping long work hours.
Starmer, who has two teenage children, said that he ‘will not do a work-related thing after 6pm [on a Friday] pretty well come what may.’ //

Two thoughts spring to mind. Either he has no idea what the job entails - or he is in for a very rude awakening. Either way his attitude to the job doesn't bode well.

well.... we have had this before but.... one PM said - "very little is important and almost nothing is very important"
and another spent afternoons ( whilst his wife was dallying with Boothby who was dallying himself with athletic young men) eading novels in the No 10 back garden
the only problem was
no 1 was Stanley Baldwin who slowed up re-armament because it wd win him an election
and No 2 was mac - 1956-63
"Where are Milliband and Raynor?"
They are being kept well out of sight and sound in case any voters who are " desperate for change" get wind of just what that change will entail.
Ms Rayner will return industrial relations to those of the 1970s. And to those of them concerned about their impoverishment because of lunatic "Net Zero" policies pursued by this and previous governments I can only say "You ain'tseen nothing yet." The lunatic Milliband will be well suited because once he gets his hands on the controls of that lunacy we will all be wondering what piece of our furniture we can chop up next to burn in the grate.
The trouble about the change that is about to be visited upon us is that those of us who have witnessed it before know exactly what's coming. And it won't be nice. But as I've said, it has to be done now and again to educate those who have never experienced a proper Labour government.
// this is a moronic thing to attack by the media. //
The media are reporting it, not saying it. The moronic statements originate elsewhere...
// senior Conservatives stepped up criticism of him in interviews and on social media overnight for saying he hoped to preserve family time in Downing Street if he won the general election. //
Senior Tories ought to know better.
Regarding the Jewish faith and its connexion to his decision, this is from the Jewish Chronicle,
“It is perfectly true that my wife’s father is Jewish - they came from Poland - and my wife’s mother converted when they got married.
“There is a long tradition of family and faith there.
“We observe some of the practices, for example Friday night prayers, occasionally with my wife’s father – her mum sadly passed away earlier this year.”
He then added: “My wife in particular wants our children to know the faith of her family.”
No mention of his wife, son or daughter being Jewish.
Jewish children take the faith of their mother - not their father. If Mrs Starmer's mother converted to Judaism when she married, Mrs Starmer and her siblings will be considered, by the Jewish community, Jewish. Whether or not Mrs Starmer follows the religion is a different matter. It sounds like they do 'Friday night' just occasionally to please Mrs Starmer's father but I can understand Mrs Starmer wanting her children to learn about Jewish history, tradition and culture.
I really cant see a problem with this.
It's no different to my job, I might not be logged on but can be called at any time. Been like that all my life and I am sure SKS would drop everything and get down to business if he had to.
Working all hours God sends is not good, you need to step away and refresh if only to avoide the tunnel vision you get with not doing so.
