Looks like he's going with those spinny things that don't work and depriving Wales of much needed employment.

Earth needs solutions that are more meaningful than the wellbeing of Wales.

I'm no expert, but if we want energy security and to be self-sufficient, isn't nuclear the answer rather than relying on the wind blowing (although I understand it can't blow too much) or the sun shining?

Desk; the wind usually blows and the sun usually shines, somwhere on the planet. Batteries are being developed. Nuclear waste lasts for many thousands of years, and our descendants will curse us for our idiocy if we mess up.

perlease, absolute madness. It'll keep the swivel eyed greens happy and be a disaster.

Nuclear is the answer and ironically it would help "net zero".

The man is clearly nuts/obsessed/out of his depth.  Small nuclear units already fuel plenty of villages. Yes, use wind and solar  ( for over 20 years I have been demanding the answer as to why new-builds are not supplied with solar panels on roofs as standard - a small windmill on the roof would also help - but 'no')but for energy security we have to use nuclear and, my personal favourite, tidal energy.  The tide comes in - the tide goes out. Barrages have to be designed to allow fish free passage - but once in place we have enough coastline to keep the lights on.

Trouble is that these options cost more.  I despair!

can we not just scrap Mr MilliBean!

"scraps" and "considers scrapping" are not the same thing.

Its Labour, they will.

Their manifesto never mentioned scraping WFP

What will happen when they find out not letting the sun hit the earth and warming the ground, not letting the wind and sea take their natural course,or do they think it will not have any consequences over time, will diddly donks still love little ed then.

Thank you ^

In the eyes of the Telegraph is there anything Labour could do that would gain their approval?

21:15 mass suicide?

Does anyone here actually read these articles before launching into attacks?

21:32..... what did we miss?

For example, from the article

Possible revisions could still include building multiple SMRs at Wylfa instead of a large power station. Another large plant could still also be built elsewhere.

Great British Nuclear (GBN), the government agency tasked with preparing nuclear sites, is carrying out the review for Mr Miliband and is said to favour building SMRs at Wylfa because officials believe they could be built and switched on more quickly, by the mid-2030s. They are also considering which option provides the best value for money.

"Considers".

No one could be that foolish, (well apart from the Greens) surely ?

SMRs..small modular reactors.
